Also testing out Sai’s “wet edges/fringe” thing. It gives a pretty cool effect. Also used “noise” texture on my airbrush 

Rainbow Dash

Huge file was huge earlier. I didn’t even realize it lol 

My first time painting the adorable Dashie here. :3 

I changed her hairstyle a little. I played around with the colors in photoshop, but the main painting was done in Sai.

The texture in the background is from google. It’s called “orange text” or something. At least, that’s what it was named in my texture folder lol 

Nope, she doesn’t have a tan if you are wondering.  I modeled her after myself sorta.

Also introducing a new style of eyes I’ll be using from now on. It doesn’t deviate from my older style much. However, it is a more fuller, complete eye that close to realism but not really lol.

I drew her for the first time last year, but I never finished it. This is also my first mlp fanart of the year x3

Tried out a new painting technique that I will definitely stick with. 

I’m also reverting back to the way I’ve drawn eyes, noses and lips from years ago, but with a bit more structure. I needed to define those features a bit more, so I think this the way to go.
